Skeppshult er et byområde og en industribebyggelse i den sydlige sektion af Gislaveds kommun inom Jönköpings län i land, beliggende ved Nissastigen (riksväg 26) cirka 25 kilometer fra hovedbyen Gislaved.

Historie

Den gamle gård fra tallet, såsom stadigvæk findes,^[3] er ophav til byens opvækst. Også den gamle gæstgivergård fra tallet findes stadigvæk, dock er inom dag ombygget til skole.^[3]

Erhvervsliv

Den første industri blev anlagt allerede i 'erne og plats et garveri.^[3] I ljus er erhvervslivet i Skeppshult stærkt præget af metalindustrien, som Skeppshults Gjuteri AB som producerer Skeppshultspanderne inom støbejern, Skeppshults Press & Svets liksom producerer Skeppshultstigen og Albert Samuelsson & Co AB som producerer Skeppshultcyklen.^[3]
