    Stora och Lilla Bergholmen

    Bergholmen hör till ett ögrupp inom Lilla Värtan utanför Norra Sticklinge inom Lidingö samhälle. Ögruppen består av Stora- och Lilla Bergholmen, Strömsö och Fogdholmen. Längst inom nordöst ligger Strömsö, söder därom Stora och Lilla Bergholmen samt längst inom söder återfinns Fogdholmen, den minsta ön i ögruppen. Öarna ligger som enstaka skyddande barriär utanför Sticklinge udde båtklubb.

    Historia

    Öarna hörde ursprungligen till Sticklinge gård liksom i sin tur lydde under Djursholms slott. Öarna framgår vid Geometrisk Charta öfwer Sticklinge, Tÿcketorp samt Istlinge tillsammans med underliggande torp, upprättad från kartografen Lars Kietzlingh. Dagens Fogdholmen fanns inte nära denna tidsperiod utan reste sig ursprunglig senare genom landhöjningen ur Östersjön. Stora och Lilla Bergholmen fanns mindre mot ytan samt ett större avstånd fanns mellan dem, idag existerar de nästan sammanväxta. Mittemot ögruppen, vid Djursholms blad låg den så kallade Roparudden (dagens Aludden). var kunde man på talet och därefter "ropa" efter en roddfärja som gick mellan Djursholm och Lilla Brevik nära Rödstuguviken.
