Pelle Tornberg
Pelle Tornberg is the founder and owner of SeaBay Capital which he started in He is also the owner of Metro, the fourth largest newspaper in the US.
With experience spanning over three decades, he has successfully built, managed and at times, listed several media companies like Metro International, the world’s largest international newspaper, Modern Times Group (MTG), Northern Europe’s largest broadcaster, SDI, the world’s largest subtitling and dubbing company and Strix Television, one of Europe’s leading independent TV production companies.
Pelle also serves on the boards of Boka Direkt, the leading provider in Sweden for online bookings of health and fitness, Bromberg, Scandinavian book publisher, HBO Nordic, Cellcomb AB, Novax AB and Parsifal Entertainment. He is the Chairman of Campadre, Scandinavia’s leading private shopping club, Bygghemma, Scandinavia’s leading e-commerce site for home improvement.
Pelle is also the senior advisor to Ericsson AB and the National Research Institute of Soft Power in China.

Pelle Tornberg has over 35 years of experience in the media and telecommunication industry and is profiled as one of 25 “Stars of Europe” by Business Week. Since he is the owner of SeaBay Capital with investments in Starz Play Arabia, Metro USA, HBO Nordic etc.
Since he is a member of the Red Bee Media Advisory Board (prior to that he was Senior Advisor to Ericsson Broadcast and Media Services). He is Advisor to National Research Institute of Soft Power, China, as well as Senior Advisor to Axel Johnson AB and Telia Company AB. From to Pelle developed the media business in Kinnevik Group, public Scandinavia based Investment Company. He has successfully built, listed and led two profitable, international media businesses: MTG (director, chairman and CEO ) and Metro International (CEO ) and has been a chairman/ Director of several public and private companies.
In his initial days at Kinnevik Group () he started Strix Television, now one of the biggest TV production companies in the Nordics and a prominent player in the international market.
Pelle completed his Studies at the Department of Journalism, University of Gothenburg.
